Antique English Silver London Britannia Standard Candlesticks Arthur Dickens 1725. A fantastic set of four candlesticks with the arms are those of Mansell impailing Hervey, for Bussy, 4th Baron Mansell and his first wife Lady Betty, daughter of John, 1st Earl of Bristol.

The candlesticks circular bases have cast borders of shells and foliage engraved with a coat-of-arms,  the octagonal baluster stems with matted shoulders and portrait medallions above husk festoons, spool-shaped sconces, inscribed No 1, No 3, No 4 and No 5 and the candlesticks are 16cm high and weighing 48oz.

Britannia standard silver stopped been made by 1720 and only the best silversmiths like de Lamerie, Courtald and Wilme continued until about 1730 when it was banned. These antique English Silver London Britannia Standard Candlesticks Arthur Dickens 1725 are priced at £37,500 Sterling.
